SEAFANZ is New Zealand's premier digital underwater photographic society and serves as a local meeting place for beginner and experienced underwater photographers. Monthly show and tell meetings are held where members gather in an informal atmosphere to become enthused, swap ideas, learn, further their skills and display their underwater images. In addition, SEAFANZ aims to foster and promote an awareness and interest in our marine environment. Prize Information
Advanced Category Winner will receive: a 4GB capacity SanDisk Extreme III memory card. If a Highly Commended (Runner-up) is awarded he/she will receive one SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro U3 Flashdrive.
Novice Category Winner will receive: a 2GB capacity SanDisk Extreme III memory card. If a Highly Commended (Runner-up) is awarded he/she will receive one SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro U3 Flashdrive.
Winners have a choice of the type of SanDisk memory card, eg. CF, SD, SM etc.

Rules
- Images should be in good taste with respect for the environment (no harming of wildlife).
- Images must be taken underwater (either fully or at least partially submerged) with a digital or film camera.
- You must own the copyright and must have taken the image you submit.
- You may edit or enhance your images with a view to improving their quality while maintaining a natural appeal; any manipulation should be noted in your comments.
- Uploaded photos should be of highest quality 640 pixels in the longest dimension. Larger images will be resized and we recommend keeping file sizes less than 1.5MB to reduce problems when uploading. For winning images we may request a higher quality version for print.

- Each member can upload a maximum of three photos per contest;
there is no entry fee.
- Please complete your contact details accurately so we may contact you if you win.
- Please indicate if you wish to be added to the SEAFANZ mailing list for future announcements and meeting reminders.
- Permission to publish a winning entry in Dive New Zealand/Dive Pacific magazine publication or website or SEAFANZ website in relation to the competition is assumed but no entry will be sold or used for purposes outside of the competition and its future promotion without the express permission of the entrant.
- Previous issues winning images are available for viewing online.

You have to be in to win; the competition and prizes will not grow if you don't participate and best of all, its free so have fun and good luck!

Images with watermarks cannot be judged. Remember that the judges are judging blind so putting your name on an image effectively disqualifies you!
