Charges in French Pass dive accident

The Occupational Safety and Health Service (OSH) has laid charges in relation to the diving accident that occurred at French Pass on 10 March this year.

The charges were laid under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 in relation to the safety of the six trainees who were undertaking dive training, three of whom died.

Charges have been laid against Nelson Dive Centre Ltd, the company doing the training and also the course instructor, Andrew Stuart. More

New Zealand Boat wins international award

The new MAC600 polyethylene boat has been awarded the Best Rotationally Moulded Product – 2000 award at a recent international conference hosted by the Australasian Rotational Moulders Association.

The MAC600 was chosen from a large number of international entries across a wide and varied range of products submitted before a panel of industry judges with the final award being announced at the conference venue in Tasmania, Australia, in August 2000.

Further exposure also comes from an invitation from the American Rotational Moulders Association for Galloway SPI Asia Pacific Ltd to feature in an editorial expose in their coming publication.
