Mediterranean shark and ray threatened

The first complete World Conservation Union (IUCN) Red List has revealed that 42% of the species in the Mediterranean are threatened with extinction. Mainly caused by over fishing, both commercial and recreational plus habitat degradation. Thirty species are regarded as facing extinction.
