Austrian tourist bitten by a shark diesMarkus Groh, 49, a Vienna lawyer was cage-less shark diving when bitten by a shark 50 miles off the coast of Fort Lauderdale. A US Coast Guard helicopter flew him from the dive vessel Shear Water to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami. Doctors confirmed he bled to death from his injuries. Sharks are attracted to the boat by a milk container filled with frozen tuna. The idea is not to feed the sharks, but to draw them to the bait while divers observe and photograph them.
