Is the dolphin okay?

Kelly James was on the bow of a boat off the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand, when a three metre bottlenose dolphin leapt out of the water and hit her. Her injuries included a broken rib, broken pelvis and punctured lungs. She was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition and needed a blood transfusion and tracheotomy. After the accident one of the first things Kelly asked her mum was, ‘Is the dolphin okay?’ Her admiration for dolphins has not diminished.
