Wreckage off Rhode Island could be Cook’s Endeavour

Researchers believe that the wreckage found in the waters off the US east coast could be the Endeavour but maritime experts say positive identification may still be years away. It is believed that the four ships off Rhode Island were part of the British fleet used during the US Revolutionary War and one is thought to be the vessel Captain Cook sailed on his voyage to Australia and New Zealand.
