Four World Freediving Records BrokenIn April the Performance Freediving International competitions were held off Cobalt Coast, Grand Cayman. Mandy-Rae a 30 yr old Canadian successfully achieved a depth of 50m/ 164ft in the discipline of constant ballast no-fins where an athlete swims down and back without fins. She also set the free immersion world record to 74m/243ft where an athlete pulls to and back from depth without fins. Martin Stepanek, a 28 yr old from the Czech Republic, is a five time world record holder now holding four world records also including constant ballast at 103m/338ft. Martin also reached 136m/447ft in variable ballast previously held by Carlos Coste of Venezuela.
